The Critically Endangered Príncipe Thrush is found only in the rugged forests of Príncipe Natural Park, where there may be as few as 250 adult thrush remaining. They are thought to be susceptible to predation – of adults and nests - by non-native mammal species including rats, feral cats, and African Civets. Camera traps are deployed at several important sites for the Thrush within Príncipe Natural Park to assess for the presence of threat species.
This project is run by Fauna & Flora International in partnership with Fundação Príncipe and the Regional Government Department of the Biosphere Reserve and Príncipe Natural Park, with funding from the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund.
